You’ll find the city of London in England, in the United Kingdom. It stands in the south east of the country, near the mouth of the River Thames, which flows through the centre of the city. If you have a rental car you’ll soon find that London spreads across a vast, mostly flat, area either side of the river. The main attractions of this major world city are found near the centre and mostly just to the north of the river. The road system can be complex but you can escape the city centre using either of the two ring-roads - the South and North Circular Roads and the M25.
