Ibiza is a world-famous holiday island in the western Mediterranean. The island is part of the popular Balearics, an archipelago in the Bay of Valencia owned by Spain, which is about 60 miles west. The capital of Ibiza Island is Ibiza Town. It’s a major attraction for younger travellers from all over the world because of its liberal atmosphere and dance club culture. The nightlife is legendary but by day there are restaurants, designer shops and chic cafes to discover too. The second town, St Antoni, is only slightly less vibrant. Away from the towns, however, Ibiza is a more tranquil place.
