Hertz in Paris

The capital of France stands in the northern part of the country, astride the River Seine about 100 miles from the north west coast. If you have a rental car in Paris you’ll find it’s a large world city but with a distinct historic central area. This is encircled by a bust but useful ring-road, the motorway-standard Peripherique. Most of the major sights are within this circle. The road network within the Peripherique is more complex, with many old and narrow streets and one-way systems. One of the simplest ways to get around the city centre is by using the main trunk roads along both banks, or Quais, of the River Seine
